Welcome on my page! I love to be in nature and would like to share my findings with you.
I only take pictures with my smartphone and try to identify the animal or plant with that. Since the identification up to the species level is often difficult, it is possible that I identified something wrongly (feel free to inform me). I used rather often iNaturalist’s AI with the automatic suggestions. If it could identify a species with a probability of about 90%, I looked up further descriptions. If they matched as well, I posted the picture on the species level.
Furthermore, I’m a software engineer and not an entomologist or similar. Therefore, this website and its tries of identifications shouldn’t be taken for any scientific related work. But if you have questions to something or would like to use one of my images, don’t hesitate to contact me.
